GAMMA GAMMA BOULÉ

Established 1984

History

 

Through the concerted efforts of NU Boulé  Houston and Archons John Q.T. King Sr. and Milton Fleming, and the official action of the Grand Boulé, GAMMA GAMMA was organized in Austin, Texas.

 

The charter members were installed at the fashionable La Mansion hotel in Austin on June 17, 1984.

These outstanding Archons are and were stalwarts in the fields of education, medicine, law, engineering, government and manufacturing.

 

In the history of GAMMA GAMMA there have been fourteen Sire Archons.  They are as follows:

Currently, there are 56 talented Archons in GAMMA GAMMA, serving fields of banking, law, state/federal government, medicine, aviation, education, technology, business, entrepreneurs, social justice and utilities.

 

GAMMA GAMMA has a long and rich history of social action relating to community involvement with mentoring programs at the middle school level, and currently serving college/university level students with its constellation mentoring program.  This Boulé has also been active in providing scholarships in the Austin community, having provided financial assistance to 61 worthy students.  Gamma Gamma Boulé established a foundation in 2011 to aid our support of young African American males and other students in the pursuit of academic excellence.

 

Gamma Gamma Boulé celebrated its 30th year anniversary as a member Boulé on June 17, 2014.
